Taylor Momsen echoed her Gossip Girl alter ego Jenny Humphrey’s newfound goth-chic look with the smoldering makeup she wore to InStyle’s Golden Globes viewing party. While her borderline emo bangs aren’t functional enough for my tastes (can she even see?), the metallic smoky eye makeup Taylor’s sporting is super hot right now.
Celebrity makeup artist Talia Shobrook shares how she created Taylor’s look using Aveda makeup products:
Taylor’s Face Makeup
Shobrook prepped Momsen’s skin using Aveda Enbrightement Brightening Serum, followed by Aveda Inner Light Shimmer Accents in Sunstone for a luminous glow that would last all evening.
Taylor’s Eye Makeup
Momsen loves dramatic eye makeup, so Shobrook lined her eyes top-to-bottom with Aveda Petal Essence Eye Definer in Black Orchid, finishing with two coats of Aveda Black Forest Mosscara. Unlike most mascara, Aveda Mosscara dries to a glossy finish, enhancing the sexy drama of the eye.
Taylor’s Lips
Shobrook created a pale lip to complete Taylor’s gothic look without competing with her eye makeup using Aveda Nourish-Mint Sheer Mineral Lip Color in Sheer Mandarin.
