The sulfates remove moisture because they remove the oil that builds up. The trade-off is potentially greasy hair.

Having tried the volumizing formula, I too am not impressed. My hair was not at all fuller and somewhat drier than with my ususal shampoo.

I actually had the opposite experience! I LOVE the shampoo, but the conditioner made my hair feel a little weird until I realized you really have to let it sink-in.
I also tried the deep moisturizing mask-feels like the conditioner in a jar instead of a tube!
Overall, I will keep buying-it as I do like it. I too, tried the shampoo but used a different brand of conditioner and my hair felt terrible and looked terrible!

I tried both shampoo and conditioner for moisture and volume and noticed my hair got super dry(like a brillo pad). I had no clue it was this shampoo until I had my mom try it and she experienced the dryness also. I will not be using this product anymore.

I LOVE EverPure! I found out that there are several lines and I’ve been using the Moisture one. It leaves my hair very shiny and soft that I can’t stop checking out my hair in the mirror. I have wavy hair and EverPure Moisture brings out the curls without having to use any curlers or hot irons. I can’t believe that anybody will feel that their hair feels dry. Is it because my hair isn’t dyed or bleached?

Cailin, totally agree with you.. I saw the moisture formula in a magazine and I was excited to try it.. Being bottle blonde is starting to take a toll on my hair. I would second your opinion with drop the shampoo & just use the conditioner.. Its very nice.
Christie– It brings out my curls too, the conditioner does (if you leave it in while wet and lightly towel dry) and let it sit and scrunch it if you want—- And I have straight hair!

[...] thing I loved about EverPure shampoo and conditioner was the scent, so I was happy to see they made sure to add the refreshing rosemary and mint to this [...]

I also was not happy with the shampoo and conditioner. I found my hair to become very dry and almost brittle feeling. I may continue for a few more days but am thinking there must be other brands out there that will retain the moisture that this produce claims to do but doesn’t.

I got a sample of the shampoo/conditioner at a store. I color my hair and inbetween shampoos it just gets real dry. As I am always looking for a good shampoo, I tried this. I was impressed! Not only did it smell wonderful, my hair stayed clean and moist for days without washing. And looked good! I will be buying this.

I have been using L’Oreal products for maybe two months now. I’ve colored my hair twice (this morning with Natural Match) during that time, and I’ve used Ever Pure volumizing shampoo and conditioner, thinking it would be great for my hair. Not so! They must be the culprits. It looks like straw — frayed straw, as a matter of fact. I’ve always had super oily hair that I wash every day. Now I can go longer, but the condition is horrible. I colored my hair this morning to improve the condition, but it feels like plastic. Starting tomorrow I’ll go back to using Rusk products and see if it makes a difference. Maybe sulfates aren’t that bad.
