Who doesn’t look better after a few drinks? While Glowelle’s 7-Day Powder Drink Mix Kit doesn’t contain any alcohol, it does claim to pump up your beauty factor sans beer goggles. Ever the guinea pig, I put the innovative ingestable to the test and got my drink on.
While the concept of drinking your way to hotness sounds strange, it makes sense when you think about it. Certain vitamins and nutrients are proven to improve hair, skin and nails — why couldn’t they be added to a drink?
I feared a beautifying powdered drink mix would taste like old Koolaid, but I was pleasantly surprised. The Natural Raspberry Jasmine flavor I chose blends exotic pomegranate with a hint of tropical lychee, and it was actually fairly tasty. Plus, the stuff combines vitamin A, C and E with goji berries, green and white tea extracts to nourish skin from within.
As instructed, I mixed the contents of the powder pack with water each day. After drinking Glowelle in the morning, I did notice a slight improvement in my skin’s evenness and radiance throughout the day, although the effect might be replicated through staying hydrated and taking vitamins (both of which I’m notoriously bad about). One suggestion: add water generously when mixing the drink — otherwise, it can turn your lips a pink-y red that won’t go with every outfit.
The verdict: 6 out of 10 — A fun, feminine way to get your hydrated, nourished glow on.
Glowelle’s 7-Day Powder Stick Pack Kit is available for $40 at Glowelle.com — or you can snag a sample in the latest edition of Beautyfix!

I’ve been reading a lot about people who suffer from rosacea – I am actually one of those people. I’ve gotten involved in a brand new company, a skincare company, that is just launching their new products based with pharmaceutical grade aloe which is certified by the International Aloe Council as being the most pure form of aloe. After using these products, I rarely have to use the cream my dermatologist gave me. My skin looks healthy again and I’m not embarrassed anymore going out in public. Please check out this website and email me after you read it. I’d love to share what I know about these products. Paula
