Isn’t it amazing how far sunless tanning technology has come? I remember when every faux tanner adventure resulted in me smelling like old popcorn and looking like an oil painting someone left out in the rain. Luckily, that was not the case with Bella Bronze’s Golden Chamomile & Goats’ Milk Sunless Tanner and Olive Oil & Shea Butter Tan Extender.
My favorite feature of this self-tanner: the color was perfect. It gave my skin a warm, sunkissed glow. Plus, its natural ingredients made the scent more bearable than most self-tanning lotions. I did experience some minor streakage on my calves, but the tan extender includes a touch of sunless tanner that helps to blend any splotches in with the adjacent tan, and my streaks disappeared after using it.
After using both products, my tan looked as good as new for three days — just as dark and flawless as when I’d first applied. The color didn’t wear off completely for a full week. (That’s pretty impressive, considering all the exfoliating and other beauty-related torture I put my bod through!) Even soaking in the bath didn’t ruin my faux glow.
The verdict: 8 out of 10 — For a touch of sun without a touch of melanoma, Bella Bronze is a safe bet.
Both products are available for $25 from Amazon.com. Bonus: the products are also included in the second Beautyfix kit — and full-sized to boot!
