So I just recently tried out another sunless tanner, so I’d thought I’d give an update for my last post “Self-Tanning: Nightmare or Dream Come True?”
This time I have tried out L’Oreal’s Sublime Bronze ProPerfect Airbrush Self-tanning Mist in Medium Natural Tan, and this is what I got out of it…
I loved the 360 degree continuous spray. It made it easy to spray all the way around my leg in one simple motion than to have to stop and start, and hope you don’t overlap or miss a spot. It dries really quickly, too, without having to rub it in or anything. The mist sprays it so evenly, and not too much that you can barely tell you have anything on you. So, the application satisfied me.
The Results
After my second use, a couple of hours later I look down to my legs only to realize I was splotchy! I had lines where half my leg was darker than the rest, a couple of uber-dark splotches and was orange, and it only got worse when I got in the sun. But, needless to say, after I showered and was able to wash my legs thoroughly, it looked a lot better. The orange was toned down, and I still had a splotch or two, but they were easily toned down with alcohol.
I am pretty pleased with this self-tanner because the application is much easier than any kind of lotion, or towelette, in my opinion. And although it did turn me somewhat orange, it was probably the most “bronze” looking I have ever got from a self-tanner. So, I recommend it, but make sure you get the color that best suits your skin to start out with, then you can move up from there. Try it out at drugstore.com for only $9.99.
