Growing up in Florida and tanning easily, I found that keeping my summer glow meant UVA and UVB galore. I’ve learned now that although I didn’t get punished with losing the top layer of my shoulders like my paler friends, the consequences could be a lot worse(and yes, I’m talking about skin cancer). So I’ve tried to be a lot better about using products that include SPF. The good news is: you don’t have to wear sunscreen anymore to get sun protection! Azur’s new solar care line includes their powerful SPF40 sunscreen (also available in SPF 30) AND a moisturizing anti-aging creme for your face, neck and eye area that includes a whopping SPF 40! That’s unheard of in moisturizers! (The SPF30 formula is available too, for those of you who just want more UVA/UVB for some reason.)
This creme is really the star of the line; it’s a patent pending formula that includes antioxidants like vitamins A, C & E and moisturizes with aloe vera. It’s both sun-friendly and super-softening. The formula is thick, rich and great to use either on an all-natural day of shopping to protect your skin from the sun. It’s also gentle enough and won’t clog pores, so wearing it as a substitute night cream is not only doable, it’s healthy!
The verdict: 4/5 stars - only time can tell, but it appears Azur has a great original concept with results to back it up. Anybody looking prune-y out there should give these a go.
