I’m a pretty lucky girl—not only did I get to interview Jason Backe, celebrity hair colorist and Clairol’s color director, I also snagged a haircolor makeover from the master himself. Getting my color done by the same man who’s colored Anne Hathaway, Renee Zellweger and Kim Raver’s hair? Not too shabby!
Since Jason told me about the new champagne blonde trend that’s hitting the runway, I had to have him give me the star treatment. I normally use Clairol Perfect 10 in #10, but Jason took it down a couple of shades to achieve the natural blonde shade that’s so hot right now. He suggested Perfect 10 in #9 for the top section of hair and their new shade #9G through the ends for a look that wouldn’t be too brassy near my roots. I quickly complied—who am I to argue with an expert?
