While First Lady Michelle Obama may not have had much else in common with the late Charlton Heston, they do share a mutual love of their Second Amendment rights — though in Michelle’s case, it’s the right to bare arms.
We ladies know that exercising your rights (not to mention your triceps) isn’t always easy, so we applaud Michelle for doing her civic duty gracefully. In case your arms aren’t the product of a well-regulated militia, we’ve got some tips on getting powerful guns with a minimal waiting period:
- Don’t plead the Fifth. While you may stick to concealed weapons through the winter, warm weather is approaching and it’s time to ditch your pink Jackie-O cardigan for a more Marilyn-friendly halter. With your arms visible more often, you’ll be subconsciously reminded of your workout and self-tanning schedule.
- Walk softly and carry a big purse. Seriously — just toting around a bigger bag everyday will tempt you to stuff it with extra “necessities” and you’ll end up lifting weights without even noticing it, giving your biceps a boost in firepower.
- Happiness is a warm gun — warm-colored, that is. Keeping your arms looking sunkissed darkens their color, hiding imperfections and visually slimming them. Self-tanner is a must under arms to add flattering dimension — try L’Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Mist for a quick airbrush tan, or just dab them with some bronzer and blend well.
