I got Maybelline’s new Define-A-Lash in #601 Very Black and I’m trying a new makeup rating system for mascaras, so check it out:
lengthening: 5/5
Wow! Define-A-Lash made my eyelashes look a half-inch longer.
separating: 4/5
My lashes were well-defined, but the mascara didn’t find all of them. Try this instead: L’Oreal Paris Telescopic Mascara
curling: 5/5
An unexpected bonus! My lashes reached for the sky.
volumizing: 2/5
The only disappointment: it doesn’t plump very much. Try this instead: Dior Diorshow Mascara
The verdict: 4/5 stars – Who cares about volume? Defined, nicely shaped lashes are way better in my opinion. Pick it up at Drugstore.com for only $7.95.
P.S. Do you like the new grading? I think it’s clearer for mascaras at least. Help me think of how to use it for other kinds of makeup!

This mascara is amazing!
The formula is so rich and organic. But that makes it take longer to dry, but it’s worth it!
Zero clumping, seperates lashes, lengthens so well, thickens, and curls!
Plus, no matter how long you keep the mascara on, it absolutely REFUSES to flake.
I have had one for about 7 months, and I have to throw it out now because it’s old and no the formula is starting to dry up, but anyway I wore it throughout a whole day and slept through it all night. When I woke up, still NO FLAKING!

i love this mascara too, its such a lengthener!! what i find great is to lay down a base of diorshow and then put define a lash on top, it looks great!
