This may surprise you girls, but even though I adore getting all dolled up and spending forever getting my makeup just perfect, there are some days where I just want to skip it all and go natural. Maybe it’s just me, but I find a Zen-like quality in facing the world purely, wearing only sunscreen and lip balm.
If you’re the same way, you’ll enjoy this tip: skip your mascara for a day and wear Vaseline on your eyelashes. Yes, I do mean petroleum jelly. It makes your lashes look thick and shiny, plus it adds moisture to an area of your body I bet you never moisturize. It’s not only good looking, but good for you! What could be better?

skip my WHAT?!
OMG! you must be really pretty to go out without any makeup!lol <3 but i have tried this and it makes my eyelashes very thick and shiny thax a bunch!

Sammie – ha, I know. My lashes are blonde, so the thought of going without mascara’s pretty terrifying. The vaseline really helps them to stand out though!
Holli – you’re too sweet! I’m on an au naturel kick at the moment; my theory is that the less makeup I wear, the more my skin and lashes will grow naturally beautiful. We’ll see how that goes…
Lucinda – just try an eyelash primer to pump them up a bit!
Ive done that a few times, it makes lashes look darker aswell. Vaseline is good for eyebrows too, it makes them look more smooth and neat.
