I’ve finally jumped on the mineral makeup bandwagon: my favorite base of the moment is RAWMinerals Foundation and their maximum coverage foundation brush.
I got the foundation in Medium 1, and surprisingly, it matched my skin really well. I’m usually in the pale ivory whitest-of-the-white category, but not this time ( I can thank all my trips to the tanning bed and Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizer for that).
Anyway, the foundation worked miracles! With the brush, I fluffed the tiniest amount onto my face, and ended with excellent results. It wasn’t cakey, and it didn’t look like I was even wearing make-up, but it covered my flaws perfectly.
Another great quality this foundation has: it really lasts! Each time I’ve used it, I didn’t have to touch up any of my makeup all day – unless I needed more lip gloss! This product definitely won me over, and impresses me more and more with every use.
I also got RAWMinerals Mineral Glow in Warm Glow, which gives the perfect amount of bronze for summer – not too much, but not too little. It’s also really easy to apply with the foundation brush. It really gave me the finished look I crave, and made my skin radiant and very healthy looking.
I also love that Raw Minerals uses all natural ingredients without sacrificing effectiveness. The products are stocked with ingredients to reduce wrinkle appearance, promote natural radiance, reduce redness, and smooth and firm skin.
The verdict: 10/10!
I am definitely satisfied with my new products, and they have certainly made it into my daily routine.

Really? I LOVE these minerals. But I guess that’s why a free trial is good so you can try. Literally there is not a day that goes by that I don’t have it on and everyone noticed a (positive) change in my appearance once I started wearing raw natural beauty minerals. SO psyched you rated this a 10. Can’t live without it. And i always used to wash my face before I worked out but now I don’t need to and i’ve had fewer breakouts. Love it!

Being a devout user of Bare Minerals, I’m am curious to try this product and see if it works better. I’ve been using Bare M for over a year now, and I recently had to borrow a friend’s MAC in an emergency. I used MAC for years before BM, and this time when I put it on I realized that it actually looked better on me than BM. I’d really like to continue using mineral make-up, because my understanding is that it is so much better for your skin than conventional make-up with its allegedly toxic ingredients. Can anyone make a comparison between RAW and Bare? With RAW, do you have to use a mineral veil like the one for Bare in order to keep your face from looking like a reflective surface?

Try BM – prime-time. its a gel solution that goes on your face and feels like power. It helps absorb the oils on your face and I find it works better than the mineral veil itself. thou i do still use the mineral veil. I love BM, have never tried Raw Mineral, but I stay with BM because they have stores and have such a high consumer base.

I LOVE rawminerals. This is the only mineral makeup that doesn’t leave my face dry, caky and tired looking by the end of the day. Also, unlike Bare Minerals and Sheer Cover….this makeup will never leave streaks when you sweat or sting your face. It lasts all day for me. I just pair it with Benefits Benetint that I apply under the foundation so I have “touch-up” less make up. I’m hooked on the product and have not had any issues like I’ve heard about the company. I tried it and have changed colors twice and the company just sent m new colors for free. It’s nice. SC doesn’t do that.

For those of you comparing Raw Minerals to MAC and Bare Minerals, I have tried them all and I prefer Raw Minerals over the whole bunch. MAC face make up tends to break out my face much more.
Another thing to remember about mineral make up is that when you first start using it, you are prone to break out because the mineral make up is sort of detoxifying your skin. After the initial break outs, your skin will stay more clear more easily.

I just received my raw mineral 30 day free trial n the mail 2dy..@ first I thought it didn’t match & I used to much..but my husband walked n the door & said baby wow you must have slept good last night because your skin looks great…that’s it…I am keeping this make up first off I did not notice a difference or even put it on properly…but he saw something…I have no idea what he saw..but he liked it…so this is my new make up from here on out…try it…you may be just like me don’t know what your’re doing & think you made a mistake buying it…but as long as someone noticed something different about you before leaving the house…it’s a keeper

OK, just my 2 cents. I am at this very moment packing up my kit and returning it on the 30 day trial bases. Love the brushes….now, don’t love the mess, transferring the powder to the lid and then the little bit back, always seem to get it everywhere, very “fly away”. Next, like it or not, the amount these girls on the DVD seem to be able to get away with using, I find impossible. You are also suppose to be able to cover spots with the concealer brush and use the darker of the 2 foundations with great results, no luck here with a small age spot, did ok under eyes for my minimal darkening, but as I stated did very little for age spots and did nothing to help disguise a scar on my upper lip. For $90 and then $60 every 2 months, just don’t feel it to be worth it or the hassle. The girl on the DVD put hers on in under 3 mins., of course everything was sitting out and ready and no clean up. There may be some difference with the product if you also purchase (yes extra) their moisturizer, they highly recommend it before the application. I do know that my regular moisturizer seem to make very little difference, but I have dry skin and have been using moisturizers since I was 16. The young ladies on the video were most likely under 30 or at least no more than early 30’s. I’m almost 50 and just don’t seem to get the same magical results as the young ladies. I did really enjoy the feel or actually lack of feeling of the make-up and it did have a lasting effect, but as I stated, the coverage just wasn’t there. Frankly no one even noticed I was wearing it, and considering I don’t tend to wear foundations because they do feel cakey or seem to fill my wrinkles making them even more noticable, I was hoping for the few discolorations I have to just blend away and for me to get that nice smooth glow that they proclaim. So again I ask, if no one even notices I’m wearing it and see no difference from no make-up, why pay so much for it. And yes, unfortunately, when I wear my normal foundation, most people make comments, my neice even ask if I had my make-up professionally air-brushed, and my husband always mentions how nice my skin looks with my foundation. At the moment I guess I will stick to my cheap liquid-to-powder Maybelline Wonder Finish. Would love a mineral alternative, so I will keep trying. Would love to hear others, older, who understand this old ladies problems, opinions! But hey, you younguns with pretty good skin who just feel it necessary to cover it up, go for it.

I have finally broken down and ordered the free trial for RAWminerals. I’m 52, and I have to say that if I use the concealer brush on blemishes, and then the foundation, and mineral veil, I look pretty great. My husband, after inspecting my face, said “yeah! it looks great!”
Problems: I really can’t afford this stuff, so tried to get the ‘return authorization number” from the site to return it. I couldn’t get it on the site, and now am worried that they will sock me for the whole thing, and monthly refills, automatically. ALSO: I am fair skinned, and they sent me #1 and #3 foundations! NO WAY can I use #3! Also, they sent me two of the lotions to prep your face for the minerals, and One of them was broken! As there was no damage to the box it came in, some pinhead must have put it in the box broken.
So… I ‘ll let you know more if I can return the stuff or not… the saga continues…

I have been using bare minerals and it works so much better for me than sheer cover. Sheer cover beads up everytime i sweat. I have not had that problem with bare minerals but it does off when i use a tissue or an oil blotter. I would like to try this but the price tag frightens me.

I recently purchased the 30 day “free” trial. I have noticed some comments that stated RAW minerals charges $50.00 if you don’t send the trial back? I didn’t see any statement saying I will be charged if I don’t send it back. Can anyone fill me in on this rumor?
Wow! I just found out the answer to my own question and it sickens me! Raw Minerals is basically a SCAM!!!!! I am so frustrated with their lack of communication in the first place. There is no way to contact raw minerals except a phone number in a confirmation email that seems to be conviently experiencing technical difficulties. Secondly, they do not inform you of the consequences of 90.00 payment until you purchase the trail! That is absolutely unacceptable!! You must inform customers of what they are buying themselves into before they confirm the order. I am trying to cancel my order but a certain lack of communication on their side makes it difficult. These companies values and ethics should not be tolerated in America!

I was curious to start using Bare minerals but its like $60 for one set. I keep seeing ads on myspace for raw minerals and want to know if its worth it to buy and try it. but if its like $90 a month for it not worth it. Ill just go to sophora and get bare minerals. I recommend you contact your credit card company and stop payment and document the transaction. The credit card company can reverse the charge if you have enough information to verify Raw Minerals was deceptive in their advertising. After reading all these comments I am going to stick with Bare Minerals, I like the results and it’s easy to buy. Good luck.
I also LOVE Raw Minerals. It’s a very natural foundation. No one could even notice I’m wearing any makeup. It helped control my oily skin, and prevents break-outs. Bare Minerals and Mac not only dried up my skin, but it feels caked on. It actally made me break out more than before. With BM I had to re-apply throughout the day for the same look. The brushes, from RM, are awesome. Mac also offers those brushes, but it’s way expensive and you keep the brushes from RM even if you cancel.
I must admit Raw Minerals is costy, but eBay is an alternative place to purchase this stuff. So far, my second set has lasted me over 2 months.

If you love Raw Minerals or want to try it without paying the astronomical price (which is what you do if you keep your trial), buy it from e-bay. I did the Raw Minerals trial offer and when it came I found out the charge card I used for shipping would be billed the $90 plus $60 every 2 months. So, it went right back. I’m a big time E-Bay advocate (buyer, not seller).

I just got the free trial and I have to admit that I am not impresed. My husband got it for me and I wish that he had read these reviews. I agree completely with Cheril and I am 40 years old. It seems that Raw Minerals is a scam, since they dont explain in the advertisament all the charges that you will pay just for try it.The only thing nice are the brushes, but for 90$ you can get good ones anyway. I just hope that i wont have problems to returned. Dont buy it. You will be dissapointed.

I just got my free trial in the mail and used it last night for the first time. It made my skin feel so good and it still feels good the next day. If you read the fine print (which you should for any free trial) it does say that they will charge you the $90 if you don’t send your stuff back with in 30 days. The confirmation email actually gives you an exact date of the 30 days later. Also you can tweak the time between each shipment to your own liking. I agree it is quite expensive and I think I will still return it to find it cheaper somewhere else. Just remember to read the fine print, nothing is ever free.
I tried the 30 day supply and loved it but I am out of foundation and someone must have forgotten to put the paper work in my box because there was no information on how to get anymore of the foundation and I am out

I recently tried the Raw Natural Mineral Make-up trial and I am very impressed with the coverage. I am going to purchase the concealer and I am very hopeful about it. My make-up feels light and looks flawless. I think I am going to keep the make-up and pay the $ 90.00. I think it’s worth it. So far, the customer service at glow.com was been excellent so far. Only time will tell….

I am African American & I have tried so many different types of foundation. I was just about to give up on mineral make-up until I discovered Raw Minerals. The coverage is great & a perfect match. I was really impressed with Raw Minerals!!!!!!!!
Very disappointed. Just regular, very-expensive powder. Little to no coverage – especially if you have acne or multi-toned skin.
I’d have to agree with Cheryl, that the girls on the DVD use such a tiny amount, but I found I had to use much more then that. I’m on my second day, and I’m more pleased with today then yesterday. But the true test will be how long it lasts through out the day. I noticed yesterday my skin started to look shiny and feel kind of oily. I hate that. I’m hoping that maybe I just didn’t apply it right yesterday, and that I’ll get better results today. I’ve been using estee lauder for years, but wanted to try something more natural and better for my skin. We’ll see.

I got suckered into it too! Took a LOT of searching to find that customer service contact info to return the stuff. So from now on my motto is NO AUTOSHIPMENTS OR FREE TRIALS! After returning the RAW stuff, (which itched terribly cuz of the bismuth in it) I PAID for some samples from L.A. Minerals, and used their free shipping coupon. I ended up LOVING their makeup and my $30 kit with a full size foundation , Veil, and concealer has lasted me 6 months!
I would definitely recommend them. Their products are more natural than RAW and no bismuth, perfumes, or other gucky junk. Best part is NO AUTOSHIP! YEAH!
Shame about the cost of the products but I found one thats great and worth a try! Its called e.l.f, heard of it? Its a company that sell mineral foundation for £3.50 and its excellent! I really love the mineral eyeshadows! Let me know what you think!

I’ve been using BM for almost 2 years now but I got curious when RAW minerals came out. I did my research over the internet and found some differences, most specifically an ingredient called “Bismuth Oxide” which is apparently a cheap filler that add volume to the mineral. Although it is considered a mineral, many women are allergic to this minerals and lots of other make-up companies used them in their product obviously for profit. Armed with this info, I decided to try it myself. I went to this site to try it. http://www.rawnaturalbeauty.com/. It’s been a week and I did really notice some difference between the 2. RAW minerals foundation match my asian skin better and it is less shinier on the face compared to BM. My skin is much hydrated even without moisturizer application and it doesn’t comes off easily like BM so its less re-application. It covers facial scar much better too. Over all, I think I’m switching to RAW and I am keeping my trial kit.

I refuse to purchase ANYTHING that does not let me purchase the product when I choose and am sick and tired of being enrolled in an automatic buying club when I want to use a product! It’s a hassle trying to clean up after using this stuff every time, it gets into the carpet, all over the sink and table surfaces. I imagine we breathe it in as well and it can’t be healthy in our lungs! Definitely not worth the $$.
I really hated raw minerals, it says that it’s better for your skin and it will make your blemishes go away….but oh surprise for me

I am a sheer cover user and have been for about 2 years. I love it, have been curious about RAW Minerals though. After reading the reviews I’m not sure I want to. Think I will look at ebay and just try it there without all the autoship hassels. I’ll let you know how it goes.
wow… I got sucked in. I wanted to try mineral makeup and picked RAW and ordered the trial kit. I was shocked when I got it in the mail and the slip said it would charge me 90 dollars. That is not something I can afford while in grad school. Still, if a company has to be that dishonest, I will not buy their product in a couple years even if I can afford it. I have never been so upset over a product before… it honestly wasn’t even great. I tried it and it was regular powder… I have since found that bare minerals or everyday minerals works great instead!
TL, it says it very clear in the small print how they will be charging you $90 after 30 day trial. I do not think they are being dishonest at all. As a matter of fact, after I read it I decided to even give them a call to make sure I understand what I read about the $90. You can avoid that next time you buy a product by always reading the small print

I’ve been using Sheer Cover for years. I’m very happy with it and will admit with any mineral foundation, it will take time before your skin adapts to it and the applying is mastered. I started out thinking it did not cover as well as the liquid I was using but after awhile I got the hang of it and note a little will go along way. It’s all in how you apply it. Circles, circles. Make sure you use the concealer on major spots, use the veil type product and SC has a spray mist to set it. I never have to retouch during the day and get compliments on my glowing face. I stumbled acrossed the raw minerals website and was curious. After reading about it, it’s too expensive and I haven’t read anything that would make me want to change. SC is reasonably priced unlike RM or BM.
This product is so not worth the price. You can get the exact same quality mineral foundation from Bare Essentials for a fraction of the price. Also, the customer service sucks. I would not recommend buying this product.
It does not say anywhere clearly that they will later be charging you big bucks if you keep the product, or if it does, then please tell me where. I didn’t see it ’til after I ordered it and got the confirmation email. Too late by then, so now I’m going to have to go the all the hassle of returning it. Great. Not only pay $4.95 for it to be delivered to me, but god knows what else to return it to them. All for nothing. Stick with Bare Minerals. They have great policies for customer satisfaction, in my experience, and they didn’t mislead me. And yes, they DO mislead in their add, regardless of what “AG” says. It is NOT spelled out “very clearly” that they’ll get an arm and a leg out of you sneakily.
To everyone who had problems with the trial: I’m SO sorry and surprised to hear that! I personally never got the free trial, but I understand that’s how most people end up trying this makeup. My review is based on the product quality alone – I’m very disappointed to hear that Raw Minerals is handling their trial process so poorly.

I have been wearing Mineral Cosmetics for the past 11 years! Have tried RAW, JANE, BARE, GLO etc. and didn’t like any of them. I was at a spa/resort in West Virginia and they carried Franche Mineral Cosmetics. Never heard of them but was curious since my experience in the mineral cosmetic world was anything but enjoyable or gave me the results that I was looking for.
LOVE this stuff!!! I get compliments DAILY about how beautiful my skin and make-up look. It was easly to apply and unlike the loose minerals, they are pressed and not messy.
Several years ago, I called their corporate office (in all places Houston Texas) and they rocked with customer service!!!! I remember this like it was yesterday because they went above and beyond!!!! The woman that answered the phone, took my order and was so upbeat and nice. She even put me through to another woman that walked me through an actual application process(which has made a world of difference)!!!!
Also, after reviewing their website, the sell ALL OVER THE WORLD!!!!

Look, I’m sorry if this is going to come off as rude, but I’ve been reading these reviews to find out if Raw Minerals is better than Bare Minerals, and I’m a little sick of hearing people say that they are upset and had NO IDEA that they were going to be charged $90. I didn’t sign up for the “free trial” yet because on the same page in which you submit your credit card information reads the following text:

I obviously did not provide my credit card information because I wanted to do more research first, after reading the above text, and due to the cost. This wasn’t even “fine print” – it was in large font, plain as day. I am begging you, please ladies, be smarter about who you give your credit card information to! Read all of the material before signing up for a “free offer”. It’s just common sense.
For those of you wanting an affordable, quality,natural mineral make-up, check out joelle. My daughter loves it (age 34)and it is extremely affordable compared to BM and RM. She also liked Afterglow but is is so expensive also. I’m researching this new field of mineral make-up. Being 60, it will be a change after all these years using a good liquid make-up (Jafra). After reading these reviews, I’m going ahead with joelle. Take a look!
I ordered the 30 day trial awhile back (2 years?), really loved the makeup, even had the auto renewal which actually I was able to tweek to every 4 months because I don’t wear makeup every day. I decided to stop because I just really don’t like waiting for the mail to get makeup. No renewal, no extra charges.
One downfall was the automatic refills, while the price is really cheaper than some others when you consider you are getting 2 makeups and veil — sometimes I just didn’t need one or the other. I want to just buy what I need.
Just saying that sometimes the offer works like they say. Now I’m trying to find something inexpensive that works as well that I can just go buy when I need it.
