Those of you who read The Beauty Bunny often know that I love intense, wild eyeshadow colors, so I was excited to try Bobbi Brown’s new Metallic Fall 2008 Collection. Voted Best Eye Shadow by Self Magazine, the line includes a large range of colors that piqued my artsy interest.
I was pleased by the 17 shade choices which ran the gamut from pale pink and lavender to dark brown and navy. Bobbi’s line is more shimmery and pearly than glittery, making it easy to avoid the drag queen effect that often accompanies more luminous makeup. However, the muted sparkle makes the darker shades look less metallic than the lighter ones. My favorites from this line: Champagne Quartz, Pink Pearl, Sage and Velvet Plum.
The verdict: 8/10!
As always with Bobbi, the colors slide on easily and last all day. If they could just pump up the volume on the darker shades, this line would be a hit.
