I’m a huge fan of Bobbi Brown, but the brand’s affinity for neutral, natural makeup colors don’t usually excite my wild side. That all changed this week when I discovered the new Bobbi Brights Collection and its limited edition Bobbi Brights eyeshadow palette, a fabulous range of 35 matte shadows in every color under the sun.
I hadn’t read anything about the palette before opening it, so I experienced a somewhat humorous blonde moment. The first thing I noticed was the gold hinge on the back, something I’d never seen on a Bobbi compact before. I opened the palette and let out a squeal of delight when I saw the bottom section of cool colors in shades from lime green to violet. The top of the palette seemed oddly thick and didn’t seem to have a mirror, so I was confused but overjoyed nonetheless.
When I discovered the tab hidden inside that opened the top section to reveal warm pinks and yellows (plus a generously sized mirror), I squealed yet again. (My hubby heard me from another room and wondered if perhaps the Sex and the City sequel had been leaked.)
So yes, it appears all of the ammonia from haircoloring has finally seeped into my scalp and is now affecting my ability to review makeup products. However, the palette is as versatile to use and enjoyable to play with as it looks, and it’s garnered a permanent spot in my purse’s makeup bag – a somewhat coveted position considering the amount of makeup I’ve tried. I may be a dumb blonde, but nabbing this eyeshadow palette was definitely a smart move.
The verdict: 10 out of 10! Any lady who loves to play with her eye makeup should give this palette a try.
The Bobbi Brights eye palette is available at Bobbi Brown makeup counters and at BobbiBrown.com for $70. (Make sure to enter the discount code BRIGHTS at checkout to receive free standard shipping!)

Hey! I was wondering, what do you think of their eyeshadows’ staying power? I love her whole line of very natural looking colors, but I do remember trying on her eyeshadows and it disappearing very fast.

Renee,
Great question! I’ve actually found that they last quite well – I wore a pink/purple combo from this palette yesterday and it lasted all day – but the colors don’t stay very intense unless you use a base like an eyeshadow primer, foundation or concealer on your lids.
Thanks for your reply! I will try looking into an eye primer
Spring is all about color – riots of joyful, bright shades brimming with promise. The colors are fresh, new, exuberant, and so are the shades in Bobbi Brown’s Brights Palette.
Bobbi has designed a Collector’s Edition palette bursting with 35 heavenly hues, matte eye shadows to be worn wherever and whenever you please. It’s all about adding a certain flare, a playful zest to your look with shades ranging from pinks to purples, blues to greens, all exclusive to this palette.
I’m loving Buttercup, a warm hint of sun for day and Mulberry, a deep shade of evening is my nighttime special. Samba, a bit of pomegranate, makes me smile as does Watermelon, a delicious pink.
Thirty-five shades – more than one for every day of the month – color me very pleased with Bobbi’s Brights Collection!

I too loved this collection (what chic packaging) but honestly found the $75 price tag a bit much.

The shadows are just great…i like them very much
Gail – thanks for the additional shade review! I’m with you, the palette is fabulous.
Charu – this eye palette is $70 on BobbiBrown.com, but that’s still a bit hefty, yes. However, it’s become my daily go-to palette for eyeshadows, so that might make it worth it.
