I love trying new mascaras, and it’s even better if I can get them at drugstore prices. The big trend these days seems to be changing the wand, and L’Oreal’s Telescopic has done it with its innovative flexible brush with plastic bristles. I tried it in Blackest Black, and the wand seemed to grab any stray lashes and coat them beautifully. It was fun to use and was able to reach all of my lashes, even those tiny guys on the inner side of your eye by your nose that I can never seem to get mascara on. Better, it didn’t seem to bleed onto my lower lashes when I blinked. The packaging is even cute – it looks like (surprise, surprise) a telescope. The only problem: due to the flexible nature of the wand, it’s hard to get mascara on those stubborn stuck-down lashes since you have no leverage, so I’d recommend curling your eyelashes first. If you’re looking for separated lashes without the wimpy coat, this is a great product.
The verdict: 5/5 stars! This is definitely one of the best drugstore mascaras I’ve encountered.
L’Oreal Paris Telescopic Mascara in Blackest Black is available from CVS for $7.99.
