Remember those filmy Covergirl foundations I mentioned before? Cover Girl Clean Makeup Oil Control Liquid Foundation is the definition of my problem with the brand. This product provides less coverage than most concealers, let alone foundations. The watery formula doesn’t even blend well! On the (extremely nominal nearing nonexistent) plus side, it feels silky when used and it might make a decent concealer – frankly, this foundation’s so thin you could easily make the color work even if you had the wrong shade. (I bought Classic Ivory #510.) Greeeeat. Now I have emergency issue concealer. If I’m ever trapped in some region where I don’t have access to a CVS or three dollars, I know I can count on Covergirl to kind of maybe halfway take care of my blemishes. From the Cover Girl signature twist-top wannabe-glass bottle to the substandard quality and even the lukewarm outdated marketing, everything about this product seems cheap.
The verdict: 1/5 stars - I’d give it zero stars but I didn’t build the dropdown menu on the right to support such a thing.
You’ll love it if: You’re trapped in some region where you don’t have access to a CVS or three dollars. Well, maybe not love.
You’ll hate it if: You have taste.

Think of a tingly sensation on your face and a strong eucalyptus smell… wearing this stuff is like wearing medicated chest rub on your face! It overpowers your perfume if a person leans in. Coverage is okay.
i think this is the best foundation i’ve ever used. i don’t think there’s a reason to be so rude and arrogant on a website, you got your point across within the first sentence psycho. :]
Good article. Covergirl foundations are excellent products!
interesting product ! i have problem about foundation i will try it may suitable for me ! thanks a lot !
I just rediscovered this makeup and its great. Smooth, medium coverage and a great price. Color is a perfect match and the only foundation that does not make me break out.
It’s funny that you have such a hate for this foundations and maybe it just didnt work for you which is understandable. I’ve been using the foundation for two years and I absolutely adore it. I have perfect skin not a blemish so the thin coverage works great to just even out a skin tone. Goodluck finding one thats right for you.

Thanks for the well wishes – I’ve found many foundations I like! I don’t particularly like this product because it simply feels watery and cheap to me; I don’t “hate” it per se. Congratulations on having perfect skin! However – that might not make your skin type the target for foundation formulas. If I wanted a tinted moisturizer, that’s what I’d buy (and I’d expect it to actually moisturize).

WOW. I don’t really think there’s a need to be so rude in a comment on a website either. Nor do I think there’s any reason to call me a “psycho” because I said something you didn’t agree with. Here’s the unfortunate scoop: it’s my blog and I’ll pan it if I want to.
Hi! I was wondering, since I’m young and sort of a newbie to makeup, if anyone would recommend this for like an everyday school look? I have normal skin and small blemishes (not pimples, bumps and redness) on the bride of my nose, and my chin. I use ‘ADVANCED RADIANCE’ by Covergirl…But I can’t any longer because it’s expired, YUCK!
Thanks in advance,
QuinnLovesMJ ♥
Damn you really sound like a b*tch commenting back to all the people that don’t agree with you. and I just recently bought COverGirl Clean MakeUp so IDK if it works for me or not hopefully it does
Noel – sorry if I offended you. Hope you read what they said in their comments to warrant such a response from me. Let us know how your experience with Covergirl Clean goes.
I’m a teenager & I went to get powder from covergirl. When I accidentally picked up age defying. Will it still work for my young skin?
The foundation goes on very awkwardly … when I first put it on I hated it because it felt really greasy and disgusting! However it dried onto my face quite nicely after, and I set it with powder foundation (which is mixed with baby powder to keep my teen skin from gettin all oily) and it turns out wonderfully, much better than ALL other drugstore foundations I’ve used.
I’m very very very fair skinned, and using number 205… It’s quite a bit more pinky than most other liquid foundations, so if you have a naturally reddish face, like many girls do, I wouldn’t use this product at all.
The coverage is less thick than most, but at the same time it doesn’t feel like I’ve got nasty crap all over because it is so much less heavy. This is HUGE for me, because makeup tends to sweat off and by the end of the day it looks nasty… I havn’t had that problem with this at all!
So sorry for the extensive comment, but I’d recommend it if you need only some coverage, want something light, want something that doesn’t sweat off, and have the right skin tone for it.
And to all the comments and the tone of this post in general:: No need to spit girls; it’s makeup, not a boyfriend.
