It’s this amazing triumph when I can cross a department-store makeup item off my wishlist, and this weekend’s purchase was no exception. I’ve lusted after Chanel Teint Innocence for months after reading some “Go Natural But Still Look Hot!”-type rave in Allure magazine that mentioned it as the end-all, be-all in youthful foundation. Since then, I’ve yearned away with no real reason not to purchase it other than how cheap I am. Perhaps I was trying to build excitement? Well, it turns out there was no need. Teint Innocence amazed me from the top down. The box is luxe, shiny black with a gold band around the bottom; inside of that is the jar itself. Its top is matte black with Chanel’s signature intertwined Cs on top, and has an ingenious way of locking securely onto the top of the bottle much like the gas cap on my Corolla. And even the opening is smart, advising moderation by allowing only a small amount of product to escape at once. Did I mention there’s Chanel foundation inside? I cautiously rubbed a bit of the foundation in Gentle Ivory over the my-skin-hates-winter blemish on my cheek, and was astonished: it disappeared completely into my skin. It was the first shade I’d tried! Regardless, I’d yet to find a foundation that perfectly matches my skin – and now that I had, I was in love.
Chanel is realistic with its product – it matches beautifully and brightens skin, so of course it’s not full coverage. Skin color looks fake with full coverage anyway, because your skin is slightly translucent and has a lot of different layers, so I’m not angry about it. I’m in love with my new product and no other will woo me away – at least not for awhile.
The verdict: 5/5 stars – everything I could ever want in a foundation. We’re getting married next fall.

I agree! I am in LOOOOOVE with Chanel! I used Clinique for years and now my skin is reacting to it and looks terrible:( I just bought the Teint Innocence and am raving about it to everyone I know. It’s light and I feel like people see me not my makeup. The best part is … My face is not shiny. I put in on and if I rub my face NOTHING COMES OFFFFF on my hand or clothes! The makeup has prompted me to begin turning my entire collection over to Chanel. It is a little pricey but you get what you pay for and a little product goes a long way. So paying a little more for a beautiful complexion is worth the cost to me! If you are thinking about it, go to a counter, ask for a few samples & I promise you will NOT be disappointed!
i cant wait until i try chanel. yet, none of the foundations i have tried have worked on me i am 15 years old. and well im into makeup i love to follow new trends but this feels like chanel its reallt gonna work… cant wait !
Love Chanel foundations! They look great people ask if I’m wearing foundation cause it
looks sooo good not cause they see lines! They blend well! It is expensive but I use half as much than the less expensive brands! And my skin doesn’t break out! It doesn’t come off on my clothes! I give it big a PLUS! I’ve used loreal, fashion fair, revlon , almay, covergirl, mabelline, minerals, max factor! Nothing compares! You get what you pay for!
