- Start with a great blow-dry and go for a blowout with some bounce. To create volume, spray sections of wet hair with a root booster like Tigi Catwalk Root Boost.
- Blow-dry each section with a round boar-bristle brush, wrapping the hair around the brush as you would with a roller. Stop rolling hair at ear level to keep the top part sleek. Use a concentrator attachment to control air direction and prevent frizz.
- Finish with a blast of cool air before you remove the brush, then move on to the next section of hair.
- When all the hair is dry, use fingers to gently rake through the waves. If you want a bit more curl, add shape using a 1-inch-barrel curling iron on strategically placed sections.
