If you haven’t snagged a Halloween costume yet, consider dressing up your face instead! Halloween is a holiday when wearing black is actually appropriate, so put on your LBD and make your face the focal point with MAC.
The makeup artists at the M.A.C. counter in your local mall can create wild, dramatic Halloween makeup looks on the big day. ”We’re dying for Halloween to come around. We really get to use our imaginations and be creative,” senior artist Ashley Dorsey told the Houston Chronicle. “We use glitter, lashes and light frosty colors… We can do ethereal, fairy looks, really anything,”
Each year, MAC artists around the world submit designs for Halloween, ten of which are selected. This year’s Fantasticals designs include the lizard-inspired Amphibian, a tribal mask and the flowery Midnight Bloom. The makeup application is free with any $50 makeup purchase and artists usually work with lip gloss, powder and lashes that you can still use once Halloween’s over. Booking an appointment is best, but the MAC counters are expecting walk-ups through the weekend.
