Well ladies, the worst is over. We’re well into April, the dreaded Tax Day has passed — now we have only to enjoy spring while it lasts. Enter FlowerByKENZO Spring, a sparkling floral fragrance available for a limited time this season.
Top notes: ginger, mandarin, lychee
Heart notes: freesia, ylang ylang, parma violet
Base notes: incense, white musk
The original Flower By KENZO is one of my favorite scents of all time, so I was itching to try the new spring version. One of the best things about KENZO fragrances: their packaging is always a work of art. This fragrance’s bottle curves like Winter Flowers and sports a similar poppy, but is encased in frosted glass.
The biggest difference between the spring edition of Flower By KENZO and the original stems from the addition of lychee. The Asian fruit adds a light sweetness that might make the scent more attractive to ladies who found the original FlowerByKenzo too powdery.
FLOWERBYKENZO Spring Fragrance Limited Edition is available for $52 in the 1.7oz size at KenzoUSA.com throughout April 2009. Get it while it’s spring!

I’m not really charmed by this fragrance, for me ginger is not among my favorites notes.
Ginger does sound a bit pungent for a fragrance, doesn’t it? It works well here, though! This is one of my very favorites right now.
