Blue eyeliner has been all the rage on the runway lately, so I decided to take a stab at it myself. What do you guys think of my look? Below is a guide on getting the look yourself.
- Apply a thin line of black liquid eyeliner right next to your lash line. Apply a volumizing mascara like Diorshow in a couple of thick coats on top lashes and very lightly on bottom ones.
- Apply a lime green shimmery eyeshadow all over the lid and slightly above so that it is visible above the crease. I used MAC Paints as a base, then applied a shimmery light green MAC shadow on top.
- Apply a shimmery creme eyeshadow all the way up to the browbone. Lightly dust a loose powder glittery shadow in yellow or gold (I used Mineral Essence Shimmer in 24K) over the part of the green shadow that’s visible when your eyes are open. This will blend the two areas and create a seamless look.
- Finally, the fun stuff! Grab your aqua blue pencil liner (I used Bourjois Metallic Eyeliner in Bleu Clinquant and was AMAZED at the amount of pure pigment it delivered) and apply in a thick line all the way across the top lid. Continue in a slightly thinner line almost to the inner corner on your bottom lid. Finally, use a white eye pencil (I like NARS Eye Liner Pencil in Iceberg)to highlight the lower inner rim of your eyelid and the inner corner.

Yeah! I’ve been using bright blue eyeliner lately as well. I think it’s something that people are more afraid of, than actually not being able to pull it off.
