One beauty must for this summer: lips that say “kiss me, you fool!” If your kisser needs a makeover, just hunker down and pucker up with these tips on making your pout its prettiest:
- Take it from the pros – when makeup artists create bold lip looks for runway models, they keep the makeup on eyes and cheeks soft with lighter colors.
- Get the best nude lip look by dabbing cream foundation on your lips before you apply gloss. It’ll help cover up your natural lip color so it doesn’t peek through — plus, it makes your gloss last longer!
- Create a fuller-looking top lip by using a slightly lighter color on it. Just mix a tiny bit of concealer into your lip color to lighten it and apply that to the top lip, using the original shade on your bottom lip.
- Use a nude lip pencil as a base for any lip gloss look, no matter the color. Line around your Cupid’s bow and the center of your bottom lip, then fill in the rest (note: avoid corners with a semi-transparent gloss, or you’ll be left with an obvious line). Apply gloss and you’re positively pouty!
