Summer is over, but that doesn’t mean it’s too late to sport a healthy glow. With my legs already donning pale signs of the coming winter, I picked up L’Oréal’s new Luminous Bronzer Self-Tanning Lotion from their Sublime Bronze collection.
After using the Self-Tanning Mist from their Sublime Bronze collection, I swore I’d never use another non-airbrush self tanner again, but this one intrigued me with its promise of instant shimmer. It’s a tinted lotion that bronzes any pasty pallor in seconds — and they are NOT kidding about the shimmer. Wow. If you’re going for a natural, sun-kissed glow, you may be a little overwhelmed; however, I kinda dug the ultra-radiant look and found it perfect for a night out.

Cleanser, toner, daytime moisturizer, sunscreen, night cream…with all the products we’re supposed to be using for daily maintenance of our skin, grooming becomes a full-time job in itself. Luckily, there are time-saving products like L’Oreal Revitalift Deep-Set Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream, which comes with two eye area moisturizers: one formulated for morning and one for night!
The creme uses Pro-Retinol A technology to accelerate skin renewal for visibly smooth and revitalized skin and Fiber-Restoring Complex technology to help repair and rebuild skin’s fiber capital. What’s that you say? Didn’t know your skin had a fiber capital? Well, it does: the fiber capital is the support network essential for smooth and wrinkle free skin. With time it begins to collapse, and deep-set wrinkles appear.
The AM SPF Fiber Protection Gentle Hydrating Cream uses the Fiber-Restoring Complex to help repair broken skin fibers of the delicate eye area, while broad spectrum protection UVA/UVB SPF 15 helps prevent future damage. I enjoyed the silky, wearable feeling of the morning cream and saw an instant liveliness added to my sleepy eye area.

Many of you are probably aware that stress is one of the primary causes of premature skin aging. So when we start stressing over our skin, it’s time to stop the cycle and take action! Luckily, 3Lab’s M Cream with stress-relieving nutrients is here to help.
I gave this baby a shot myself, and was entertained by the colorful ingredients list:
- Swiss apple stem cells
- Happybelle, a phyto-endorphin
- Osilift, an oat-derived anti-wrinkle nutrient
- Nano-Claire GY, a bio-engineered growth hormone

I’ve discussed keeping your breath fresh and your hair fabulous for a romantic night out with your man, but there’s one other date-night essential we should cover: smooth legs!
In my quest for Heidi Klum-like gams, I tried Gillette’s Venus Embrace. While I don’t tend to be particularly enamoured by one razor or another, this one has a few features I hadn’t seen before. My favorite: the shower pod, a useful little shower case to keep the razor and extra blades in with suction cups (that actually stick). Genius!

Today’s women are blessed to live in a wonderful time when drugstore shelves are no longer lined with boring, generic moisturizers. Johnson’s is launching a new line of body care products designed for adult women, so I got an early preview of their Forever Fresh and Be Radiant body lotions. (One of the perks of beauty blogging.)
Johnson’s Forever Fresh Refreshing Body Lotion
I loved the notes of melon, apple and lily of the valley in Forever Fresh’s scent, and they’re functional too: since the lotion’s intended to leave you feeling refreshed, the hints of citrus really help to perk you up.
The lotion absorbed quickly into my skin, but the scent lasted all day long—and there’s a reason why. Forever Fresh uses a unique encapsulated, time-released fragrance that keeps your skin delightfully awake-feeling and pretty-smelling for hours.

Things that reverse the signs of aging: Botox, collagen injections, time machines, and…light?
The Baby Quasar Red is a skincare tool that uses red and infrared light to stimulate the production of collagen, thereby diminishing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and enlarged pores. Sound like hooey? Clinical research shows that red and infrared light can firm and tone skin while increasing blood flow and circulation. Until now, Quasar light therapy devices were only available to spas and doctors’ offices.
I was extremely skeptical of this product before trying it, but I figured (hoped?) that at $449, it had to deliver some results. I was absolutely shocked.

I adore facial masks, and I also love any product that helps with blemishes. PCA Skin has combined the two with their new pHaze 9 Purifying Mask, a nifty product that uses red algae and French red clay. Here are the mask’s key ingredients:
- Red Algae
- Pumice
- Grapeseed oil
- Eucalyptus leaf oil
- Orange oil
|
- Grapefruit peel oil
- Tocopheryl acetate (Vitamin E)
- Retinyl palmitate (Vitamin A)
- Wine extract
- Hydrolyzed wheat protein olivate
|
The mask tingles (okay, burns) a bit when you first apply it, but it settles down quickly. (Remember, ladies: no pain, no gain!) My skin felt amazingly smooth after washing it off, and pimples have no chance of survival if you regularly use this product. I never thought a clay-based mask would actually help to clear my skin, but this works like a charm!
