Did you know that the sun can fade your hair color? Of course you did, you’re a smart little beauty and/or beach bunny. What you might not know is how to protect your haircolor from the sun’s rays — but luckily, L’Oreal has an answer for you with its EverPure UV Protect Spray.
One thing I loved about EverPure shampoo and conditioner was the scent, so I was happy to see they made sure to add the refreshing rosemary and mint to this product as well. Since the entire EverPure line is sulfate-free, you don’t have to worry about your hair becoming dry or damaged. The spray feels moisturizing when you first apply it — my only issue was that it felt a bit dry afterward.

I normally prefer sleek and polished coifs to the bedhead look — but the carefree, loose curls in the ads for Herbal Essences’ Tousle Me Softly line tempted me to join the other side. Who wouldn’t want these Gisele curls?
When going for the perfectly messy look, it’s important to avoid weighing your hair down with product. Luckily, the Tousle Me Softly shampoo and conditioner are light enough to give hair some styling juice without gunking it up. Plus, I really enjoyed the violet and pomegranate scent! (Pomegranate’s the new “it” food in beauty, you know.)

I very rarely use hairspray, or for that matter any hair products that change the texture of my hair once it’s dry. I simply enjoy the luxurious feeling of soft, clean hair so much that I can’t bear to weigh it down with a bunch of silicon. When the time arises where my hair needs a little help staying in place, I prefer products with a lightweight finish like Jonathan Product Finish Control Hairspray.
Since I have thick hair, it generally takes a team of skilled professionals armed with rubber cement and fishing line to make my locks stay in place — and I can kiss my dreams of looking natural goodbye. That isn’t the case with this hairspray: it delivers a flexible hold that doesn’t weigh down hair. Plus, its all-vegan formula uses no animal by-products, so you PeTA lovers needn’t worry you’re sacrificing Flipper to your pin curls.

We beauty buffs have long known about the dangers of sulfates in hair care products, but here’s a quick overview if you’re unfamiliar with them. Sulfates, found in most hair care products, dry out your hair and strip it of its natural moisture. Read the ingredients list on your shampoo — you’ll likely see at least lauryl sulfate and ammonium laureth sulfate. No drugstore brand to date has tackled a sulfate-free formula until L’Oreal Everpure.
In the interest of protecting my hair, I tried Everpure Shampoo and Conditioner. Both products are scented with rosemary, while the shampoo incorporates juniper and the conditioner a touch of mint. I love the conditioner’s scent.

I’m somewhat hesitant to write this review; after so publicly dumping my CHI, I’m afraid you’ll all think of me as a flat iron harlot. But the truth is, I can’t be tied down — I have a lot of different needs. Can I really expect them all to be fulfilled by just one straightener?
I’ve been lusting after the Sedu Flat Iron for months, but I only recently made my move. I was intrigued but skeptical when I heard it could straighten your hair in only ten minutes; after all, it’s not a race. Still, I couldn’t pass up a chance with “the best in the world” — and its history of seducing starlets like Jaime Pressly and Jennifer Love Hewitt piqued my curiosity.

Whoever heard of a volumizing product that’s actually good for your hair? I hadn’t, until I tried Logics Aerial Liquid Volume, a new product from the Logics Color DNA System Styling Collection. The line features Dual Net Affinity technology to protect color and leave hair glossy and voluminous—plus, they’re promoting it with a set of beautiful art-inspired ads like the one to the left.

You use masks on your face – why not your hair? Kronos Phyx Overnight Repair Masque is an overnight deep conditioning treatment for hair, which means I don’t have to take an extra thirty minutes messing with my hair during the day like with other deep conditioners. I just condition while I sleep and wash my hair in the morning when I normally would!
Kronos Phyx is an effortless way to give your hair some added shine and softness without gunky buildup. This hair masque uses exclusive, patent-pending t-sfere technology, which allows the encapsulation of multiple active ingredients into a single microscopic sphere for a deeper delivery into scalp, follicle and hair shaft. What does that mean? Who cares? It works.
I put Phyx in my hair at bedtime but didn’t go all the way up into the roots, since my hair can get a bit greasy. Not only was my hair softer and shinier after I shampooed in the AM, but my hair actually felt clean – a rarity among deep conditioners. If you’re worried about any extra oiliness, apply from the ends of hair up and stop near the crown of your head.
